Network Membership Levels

No matter your history of engagement with Healthy Neighborhoods, if you’re a member of the Lewiston community who is dedicated to the health, happiness, and growth of the Tree Streets neighborhood, we want your voice at the table - especially if you live in the Tree Streets.

There are lots of ways you can engage with Healthy Neighborhoods, and how you engage is entirely up to you. Depending on how often and how recently you’ve been involved with Healthy Neighborhoods, you may be considered a Network Friend or Network Member, as defined below.

Network friend:

Any person interested in participating in or contributing to Healthy Neighborhoods who does not serve in an official capacity on the Board. This group remains open with no limitations or stipulations regarding size or composition.

Network Member:

Any person who participates substantially with the work of the Healthy Neighborhoods network. Substantial participants are defined as any of the below:

  • Past or current Director

  • Past or current Committee Member

  • Past or current Healthy Neighborhoods mini-grant recipient

  • Volunteered at 3 or more Healthy Neighborhoods events or activities in the past year

  • Attended 3 or more Healthy Neighborhoods meetings in the past year

Please note that based on our Operating Policies and Procedures and Bylaws, you must be considered a Network Member in order to vote in Board of Directors elections. If you’re not yet a Network Member and are interested in voting in future Board elections, please make sure to attend at least 3 Network Meetings (virtually or in-person) during the year preceding the Board election. All Network Meetings are listed on our events page, and we send out reminders a week in advance to everyone on our email list - sign up here.
