Mini-Grant Brings Picnic Tables to the "Pop-Up Garden"

With the help of a 2019 Mini-Grant, the PUG - created by Healthy Homeworks through a 2018 Mini-Grant - was adopted by a coalition of artists who gave the signage a face-lift, held free, fun art events where neighborhood children created whimsical pieces of art, and purchased and decorated two rugged, handicap-accessible picnic tables.

Healthy Androscoggin contributed a commercial bike rack, and the space became a hub of community activities (including Trash Amnesty) and BBQs throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
